Foleshill news

Hello, a quick round up from some of the work Foleshill officers have completed this week,

We are still targeting shoplifters committing thefts from our retail parks around the city, officers visited the businesses and spoke with staff to make them aware of their presence, officers also work with site security to recognise persistent offenders to prevent crime before it can be committed. Shoppers and store staff have said the police presence does make a difference to the retail park and makes shoppers feel at safe when they see a police uniform.

Officers are working hard to prevent, as a priority, vehicle crime. This includes theft from vehicles, as well as theft off motor vehicles in the area. Please do go to our website and look at our vehicle crime prevention advice

After listening to resident’s concerns officers teamed up with the Coventry City enforcement officers to complete targeted patrols the worst affected areas.

Streets visited were Stoney Stanton Road, Foleshill Road and cross road area. Some motorists were given words of advice and many other were ticketed.

Our last shop was Churchill Avenue, here the major problem is ‘double parking’ this is not safe and must not be done. Vehicles were ticketed along this road.
